OFFICE of RESEARCH SERVICES

Resources

Excellent work grows from strong support. The Office of Research Services assists faculty throughout the project cycle by answering questions, facilitating workshops and helping faculty navigate the sometimes complex world of grant funding.

Online application guides

An online application system is used to apply for grants. If you have questions about the online application system, you can find the answers in the FAQ sheets or in the guides. The guides also provide easy-to-follow steps for using the application system.

Summer research assistant requests

The Office of Research Services has Student Research Assistants who are available to support scholarship in all faculties and schools throughout the summer months. There is no cost associated with these research assistants. However, requests are limited to a maximum of 40 hours per project.

Approval is based on availability, and requests are evaluated to ensure the student will gain experience in research, scholarly or creative activities. To request assistance with your project this summer, please complete and submit the RA Request form.

For more information, please contact Rebecca Mitchell (mitchellr38@macewan.ca).

Statistical consultation

The Statistical Consulting Centre in the Department of Mathematics & Statistics can ensure that the data you gather supports your research goals. What is an ideal sample size for the research study you’re proposing? Which methods should you use for proper data analysis? How should the statistical results be interpreted? Consulting statistics experts to support your research enhances your credibility as a serious researcher.
