The Accounts Receivable department has an opportunity for a highly motivated and strong customer service oriented accounting technician II – refunds & sponsorships. This position is mainly accountable for ensuring that student refunds, sponsorships, awards, scholarships and bursaries are accurately processed in a timely manner.
The ideal candidate will take pride in the responsibility of being a point of contact when it comes to accounts receivable inquiries mostly pertaining to refunds and sponsorships. The incumbent will liaise with various internal departments to perform their tasks and develop cohesive relationships.
The ideal candidate must be detail oriented and analytical; have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skill; be organized and professional with issues/concerns/confidentiality as they arise.
The successful candidate must have a minimum of an accounting diploma or a related field, and a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a mid-size computerized accounting environment preferably in accounts receivable. Equivalencies will be considered. Experience in other accounting functions is an asset. Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office applications is preferred. Working knowledge of PeopleSoft applications is an asset.
This position is included under the MacEwan Staff & Association Collective Agreement.
