Assistant Professors – Social Work Program
Faculty of Health and Community Studies
The Social Work Program within the Faculty of Health and Community Studies at MacEwan University invites applications for full-time assistant professor positions. Requirements for these positions include social work teaching experience at a post-secondary level and a demonstrated ability to engage in research and willingness to engage in scholarly activity. Applicants will have knowledge in adult learning theory, curriculum design, and the capacity to teach in multiple learning environments.
Faculty members are required to teach a broad range of social work courses including field placement coordination and supervision. Preference will be given to applicants with a completed PH.D (or completion within one year) in social work or a related discipline. All applicants must have a MSW, substantive social work practice experience, and be eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong teaching skills, a commitment to anti-oppressive practice, a passion for teaching undergraduate students, and a willingness to engage in service to the program, university and community.

This position is included under the Faculty Association Collective Agreement.
