Accounts Receivable – Trade and Billing

Are you looking to gain valuable experience in accounts receivable? MacEwan University’s Accounts Receivable department has an opportunity for a customer oriented individual to join the team as an accounting technician II.

In this full-time term position, the incumbent is accountable for all aspects of the accounts receivable function, such as, process invoices and refunds; prepare bank deposits; enter and set up payment plans and collections; prepare journal entries; reconcile the general ledger accounts to the account receivable sub-ledgers; and other related duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate must be detail oriented and be able to work in a busy environment; have strong analytical, problem solving, interpersonal and organizational skills; and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Intermediate Microsoft Office experience is required.

The successful candidate must have a minimum of an accounting diploma and a minimum of two (2) years accounting and accounts receivable experience in a mid-sized computerized accounting environment. Preference will be given to candidates with good working knowledge of the reconciliation process between the sub-ledger and the general ledger. Experience with PeopleSoft and/or experience in multiple systems would be an asset.

This position is included under the MacEwan Staff Association Collective Agreement.
