We are currently recruiting for a full-time continuing Learning Systems Application Administrator position, which will work as part of the Learning Systems Support Team.

The Learning Systems Application Administrator is responsible for application planning, and ongoing management of the learning systems environment at MacEwan by serving as the primary administrator of the institution’s Learning Management System (LMS) and other applications and technologies that support learning and teaching. With a focus on application administration, this position will act as the lead Tier 2 technical and troubleshooting resource, primarily for Learning Systems Support Team (LSST) staff and Tier 3 support staff and periodically for MacEwan faculty and staff.

Applicants should have a relevant computing diploma and at least 4 years of related experience, preferably in an educational setting. Experience administering server-based applications within an educational setting is required. Training and experience with a variety of development tools, including HTML, XML, PHP, PERL and MySQL is preferred. Knowledge of JAVA is an asset.

Candidate must be able to demonstrate sound analytical problem solving skills; knowledge of ITIL standard practices and implementations; aptitude for customer relations; excellent verbal and written communication skills; and the ability to multitask and contribute to a team environment.
