Administrative Support IV
Faculty Commons at MacEwan University is recruiting for an Administrative Assistant IV. In this position, you will provide support to the director and others in the Faculty Commons in key tasks such as the development and maintenance of office systems, calendar management, room bookings, website maintenance and general office administration. The position works collaboratively with the following portfolios within Faculty Commons: Academic Integrity, Curriculum, Faculty Development, Faculty Evaluation, Educational Technology, and Research.
Reporting to the Director, Faculty Commons, you will be required to provide efficient administrative support to ensure the successful operation of the Faculty Commons. To provide the support required for successful delivery of Faculty Commons’ programming, the successful incumbent will coordinate the logistics for workshops and educational sessions of guest lecturers or visiting academics, and develop related website content. This role includes providing support to the Faculty Commons director to manage Faculty Commons operations particularly as they relate to organization of departmental meetings, financial and human resource management.
To excel in this position, we are looking for an individual who is highly motivated, resourceful, able to work independently, as well as to participate effectively within a group or team. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, problem-solving and analytic skills. Intermediate skills working with Microsoft Office and with website design are essential, as is experience with PeopleSoft and budgeting.
The successful candidate must have a minimum of a diploma (2 years) and a minimum of 3 years of related work experience. Equivalencies will be considered. Some flexible work hours and some travel between campuses will be required. Post-secondary experience is an asset.
This is a part-time continuing position between 17.50 to 26.25 hours per week.
This position is included under the MacEwan Staff Association Collective Agreement.
