Budget Coordinator
Budget and Resource Planning, Finance

The Budget and Resource Planning team in the Finance department is looking for a self-motivated and client service driven individual for the position of a Budget Coordinator.

This full-time term (12 months, with the possibility of an extension) position will allow the incumbent to oversee the setup of operational and strategic budget plans within the PeopleSoft module; complete budget and financial analysis, database integrity maintenance; align budget processes with system requirements; and work with other budget officers in the university. The successful candidate would also serve as a functional analyst with responsibilities for creating, testing, and submitting new queries and N-vision reports to ITS for implementation.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of a near completion of a Professional Accounting Designation (CPA), along with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a medium sized organization working with financial databases in Enterprise system; such as PeopleSoft, SAP, or JD Edwards. Equivalencies may be considered. Preference will be given to candidates with PeopleSoft experience with the ability to link system requirements to the accounting requirements in a public sector organization.

The ideal candidate will have strong skills in problem solving, investigative, analytical, and the ability to recommend solutions; have excellent verbal and written communication skills; have a solid understanding of accounting and budgeting in medium sized organizations; and has good attention to detail; able to work with competing deadlines independently, and in a team setting.
