Administrative Assistant III

The Faculty of Fine Arts and Communications (FFAC) of MacEwan University is recruiting for an Administrative Assistant III for the Centre for the Art and Communications Campus. This position provides administrative support to FFAC programs, including word processing, data entry and other clerical duties; extracting data from the enterprise system to support decision-making; setting up meetings, minute-taking and transcription; and responding to inquiries from current and potential students.
The successful candidate must be service-oriented and have proven administrative support and organization skills. The Administrative Assistant must be able to work independently and respond quickly and effectively to multiple demands. This position requires attention to detail, above average verbal and written communication skills, and advanced software skills.
This is a full-time continuing position. The position requires an individual with a diploma, preferably with formal administrative support training; and a minimum of 2 years of current administrative support experience. The successful candidate will be proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office software suite. Experience with PeopleSoft would be an asset. Some equivalencies in training and work experience may be considered.
This position is included under the MacEwan Staff Association Collective Agreement.
