University Advisor
School of Continuing Education

The School of Continuing Education has an opportunity for an enthusiastic and customer service oriented university advisor. This position, located at the Alberta College Campus in the Preparation for University and College program, requires the incumbent to provide advising and academic support to students, such as, assisting students with an academic plan; marking placement tests; and preparing student resources and program promotion.

The successful candidate must have a minimum of a degree and a minimum of three (3) years’ work experience. Preference will be given to candidates who have knowledge of post-secondary institution’s policies and procedures and be proficient in Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft, email and the internet. Equivalencies will be considered.

The successful candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills; be detail oriented with the ability to work with tight deadlines; have leadership skill to take initiative; and be able to work independently and in a team setting.

The hours of work are Monday to Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

This position is included under the MacEwan Staff Association Collective Agreement.
