The Human Resources department has an opportunity for a professional and energetic administrative assistant. Reporting to the director, Human Resources Client Services, the primary function of this position is to provide a high level of administrative support for the HR Leadership team. Duties may include fielding telephone calls, receiving and directing visitors, word processing, filing, and emailing. Extensive software skills are required, as well as Internet research abilities and strong communication skills. Priorities include the coordination of work flow, completion of all administrative tasks to lessen administrative work for managers, update and follow-up on delegated tasks to ensure progress to deadlines.

We are seeking a team player who is flexible and carries out their work with a high level of accuracy, accountability and integrity. The successful candidate must have excellent problem-solving and organizational skills; the ability to multi-task; and most importantly, have passion for service excellence. Professionalism and the ability to maintain effective work flow and communication are required. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail and solid interpersonal skills.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of a diploma in Office Administration combined with a minimum of three (3) years’ progressive administrative experience preferably in a human resources environment complemented by at least one (1) year of experience supporting multiple people and providing service across multiple service areas.

Additionally, our ideal candidate will have one (1) years’ experience working in a unionized environment. Advanced working knowledge in MS Office suite, Visio, Adobe and other software programs are required.
