Opportunity
The School of Business has an opportunity for a full time continuing Academic Coordinator.
The Academic Coordinator is accountable for providing effective support, leadership, direction and advice for academic programming, curriculum and course development for the School. This position is also responsible for managing program and curriculum development projects and developing effective and efficient processes that align with the university's many governance structures.

The Academic Coordinator works with faculty members and professional staff to review master course syllabi, advise about curriculum redesign, conduct seminars, and prepare handbooks and guidelines.

Other duties include:
• working with the Office of the University Registrar to create and update all Block Transfer articulations;
• acting as a resource to Self-Study Committees and for Academic Program reviews;
• planning and facilitating curriculum development meetings, focus groups and workshops;
• preparing discussion papers on emerging topics;
• revising materials to ensure conformity to standards/criteria/academic plans; and,
• coordinating information gathering and report preparation for all academic information reports

Skills
The ideal candidate will be outcomes focused, comfortable with change processes, diplomatic, analytical, and collaborative. The incumbent will have excellent communication, problem-solving, consulting and project management skills and the ability to lead intensive workshops.

Qualifications
Candidates should have a Master’s degree with ten years experience in post-secondary, including teaching and leading curriculum development projects. Knowledge of curriculum development specific to business programming is considered an asset.
