International Admissions Consultant

The Office of the University Registrar, located at City Centre Campus, has an exciting opportunity for a full-time, continuing International Admissions Consultant. This position is part of a student-oriented team in International Admissions and Enrolment committed to service excellence.
The International Admissions Consultant is primarily responsible for the evaluation of international education qualifications, credentials, and transcripts for program admissibility, verification of the authenticity of international documents, development and maintenance of resource library of international education systems, and the delivery of training sessions on the evaluation of international education qualifications.
The ideal candidates must possess strong oral and written communication combined with strong organizational skills with an eye for detail and accuracy. Responsibilities include the ability to research and synthesize information, weigh relevant factors, use sound judgment, and provide justification for decisions made, understand, interpret and apply international evaluation concepts and methods. Applicants should understand Canadian secondary and post-secondary systems and the understanding of international education systems is an asset. Applicants must be familiar with computer software, e-mail, internet and database programs. Applicants are required to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and must encompass a strong student/customer service focus with sensitivity to race, ethnicity, religion and culture.
The successful candidates should have a post-secondary diploma (degree preferred) and three years minimum previous relevant experience working in a Registrar's Office, and specifically as an Admissions Specialist or equivalent, evaluating education transcripts.
This position is included under the MacEwan Staff Association Collective Agreement.
