The Human Resources department at MacEwan University is currently seeking a professional and energetic individual for an Administrative Assistant position. Reporting to the Director, Human Resources Client Services, the primary function of this position is to provide a high level of administrative support for the HR Client Services team and directly supports the Director of HR Client Services .
The successful candidate will execute the office administration requirements for the team (this includes mail distribution, preparing correspondence and word processing, form development, calendar and meeting management, ordering office supplies, ensuring equipment maintenance, data entry, and maintenance of the HR website), filing and records management of Human Resource related documents, and participate in HR projects, committees and initiatives.
We are seeking a team player who is flexible and carries out their work with a high level of accuracy, accountability and integrity. The successful candidate must have excellent problem-solving and organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, and most importantly, have passion for service excellence. Professionalism and the ability to maintain effective work flow and communication is required. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail and solid interpersonal skills.
The successful candidate will have a diploma in Office Administration combined with a minimum of 3 years of progressive administrative experience preferably in a human resources environment complemented by at least 1 year of experience supporting multiple people and providing service across multiple service areas. Additionally, our ideal candidate will have 1 year of experience working in a unionized environment. Advanced working knowledge in MS Office suite, Viso, Adobe and other software programs is required.
