Administrative Support III

Conference and Event Services has a casual opportunity for an experienced administrative support III to join its enthusiastic and customer oriented team.
The incumbent will answer phone and email inquiries; make reservations and booking; maintain administrative files; prepare service orders and reports; process requests for special function spaces for staff and faculty; and perform general office duties.
The ideal candidate must have excellent customer service and organizational skills; have excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills; be able to work under pressure with multiple and competing deadlines; be able to maintain confidentiality and work with various situations in a professional manner; be able to work with various stakeholders; and be pro-active and self-motivate.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of a two (2) year college diploma and a minimum of two (2) years’ related work experience. The successful candidate will also be proficient in using Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience using PeopleSoft, reservation software, working with events in a customer service environment are assets. Equivalencies will be considered.
The hours of work are up to 17 hours per week Monday to Friday (between 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) with the ability to work flexible hours.
This position is included under the MacEwan Staff Association Collective Agreement.
