The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Grant MacEwan University invites applications for one Assistant Professor position in Statistics commencing July 1, 2013. The candidate must have a PhD (or solid indication of imminent completion) in Statistics with an active research program and must demonstrate excellence or clear promise of excellence in teaching. Experience in statistical consultation would be an asset. Applicants should have strong written and oral communication skills in English.

Applicants should submit a covering letter with curriculum vitae, a teaching statement with student evaluations, a statement of research interests including evidence of current scholarly activity, and graduate transcripts. Candidates should also arrange for three letters of reference to be sent under separate cover. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, in accordance with Canadian immigration requirements, Canadian citizens and permanent residents will be given priority.

This position is included under the Faculty Association Collective Agreement.
