MacEwan University welcomes applications from faculty for a half time position as Academic Integrity Officer. Reporting to the Director of the Faculty Commons, the Academic Integrity Officer oversees implementation of the Academic Integrity policy (C1000) and promotes a culture of academic integrity at the university.

Responsibilities include: communicating to faculty and students about academic integrity policies and procedures, developing resource materials for students and faculty, facilitating academic integrity professional development opportunities for faculty, organizing hearings, orienting/supporting faculty adjudicators, advising students about academic integrity matters, collaborating with faculty, chairs and deans when integrity matters are under investigation, identifying policy requirements, and chairing committee and meetings on an ad hoc basis.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a Masters degree, a commitment to high ethical standards related to teaching and learning, and experience working with students at MacEwan University. Knowledge of and expertise in issues of academic integrity and ethics is an asset. Position requirements include strong communication skills, administrative and record management/computer skills, and the ability to evaluate and assess information using established criteria.

This is an employment opportunity open to MacEwan University faculty (continuing, sessional or limited term) on a half time basis for a two year period.

Salary $30,384 - $46,590 per annum
