University Services, Project Management Office
University Services, Project Management Office is recruiting for a Project Analyst. This position supports the development, deployment and sustainment of project management standards, processes and best practices across the university. The incumbent also develops support and training materials and provides direct support to individual Project Managers and to groups regarding the standards, processes and practices. The incumbent prepares a variety of reports related to project funding, spending and status.
Reporting to the Coordinator, Project Management Office, this position also assists in leveraging project management modules in MacEwan’s ERP system (PeopleSoft) to ensure consistent use, including effective project planning, costing, financial management, and value-added and timely reporting of project information.
We invite applications from candidates with a Business or related degree or an accounting designation or equivalent complemented by 2-3 years of experience in Project Management; with 1-2 years of experience in Accounting or Finance and 1-2 years of experience with PeopleSoft; preferably the Program Management, Project Management and Project Costing modules. Holding or actively working toward PMP certification will be considered a definite asset.
We are looking for a self-starter who demonstrates a high degree of initiative combined with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Detailed problem solving and analytical abilities are also required. Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills, including Microsoft Project and Visio, will be considered an asset.
