Maintenance Worker I

Additional offerings include preparation for university and college, English as a Second Language, professional and personal development courses and workshops, corporate training and the Alberta College Conservatory of Music.
The Facilities department has three (3) opportunities for maintenance worker 1 (one (1) full-time continuing, and two (2) full-time term (approximately 12 months, with a possibility of an extension).
In this position, the incumbent will perform a variety of tasks: materials handling with shipping/receiving functions, non-trades repairs, university event setups, operation of equipment and driving university vehicles.
The ideal candidate must have good mechanical and practical aptitude; good public relation and computer literacy skills.
The successful candidate must have a minimum of a 5th Class Power Engineering Certificate or Building Operators and a minimum of two (2) years’ building operation experience or material handling experience. Equivalencies will be considered. WHMIS training is an asset.

Candidates must be physically fit and have a class 5 driver’s license.
