Opportunity

The University Service Centre (USC) requires an energetic people-person for a high traffic support centre on an on call-as needed basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing centralized support services to several departments and their visitors. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate who is customer service oriented and enjoys variety in their work day. The Welcome Centre Assistant is the first point of contact at the USC and is considered the “go to” person who is instrumental in the successful delivery of centralized administrative services.

Skills

The successful candidate will report to the Supervisor, USC and have above average administrative and interpersonal skills and intermediate computer skills. The incumbent will possess the ability to manage multiple tasks in an environment where frequent interruptions are likely to occur.

Qualifications

Applicants must have some post-secondary education such as an Office Administration diploma or equivalent along with at least 2-3 years of related experience. Preference will be given to candidates with advanced MS Office skills as well as previous reception experience.

This position is included under the MacEwan Staff Association employment policy/collective agreement.
