The Faculty of Health and Community Studies is currently seeking an enthusiastic and committed individual to provide administrative and project support in the Clinical Laboratories. Major responsibilities include: processing and preparation of documents and correspondence, laboratory reception, project support, booking laboratories, arranging meetings, meeting minutes, assisting with orientation of staff to the laboratories. Additional responsibilities include preparing purchase requisitions, coding and verifying invoices, assisting with organizing and maintaining equipment, materials, space and inventory of the clinical laboratories as well as other general administrative duties.
The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal, communication, customer service and organizational skills. The ability to multi-task, set priorities, adapt to change, and be self-directed will allow you to be successful in the position.
The successful candidate must have a post-secondary business diploma and a minimum of two years’ related experience. Equivalencies may be considered. Advanced Microsoft Office and email skills are required. Experience with project, research or simulation laboratory experience, PeopleSoft enterprise system, and working with faculty and students are assets.
This position is included under the MacEwan Staff Association collective agreement.
