MacEwan University’s Payroll Services department has an exciting opportunity for a Functional Analyst, Payroll Services.
This position is primarily responsible for providing system maintenance including data and system integrity of employee personal information; completing query development and system testing; coordinating the system aspect to automate business process and participating in business process improvements. This position provides training to various stakeholders, assists and supports the MacEwan payroll services team in biweekly payroll processing and reporting, and participates in payroll and year end processing. The incumbent will liaises with Information Technology Services and university partners to ensure smooth and effective workflow.
The successful candidate must have strong time management, change management and organizational skills. Applicants should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to adapt to a variety of system related work assignments. The ability to work well under pressure, meet tight deadlines and work in a team environment are considered assets.
• Minimum of a PCP and/or CPM designation
• Degree in Business/Accounting/HR or related equivalent combination of education will be considered
• Completion of PeopleSoft (Canadian) payroll and time and labour processing, implementation, back office training and troubleshooting courses as well as applications for both the Payroll and Time & Labour modules.
• Minimum of 5 years of PeopleSoft or equivalent of progressive payroll processing, Time and Labour processing, process management, reconciliation and reporting experience
• Working knowledge of PeopleSoft Payroll and Time & Labour modules
• Experience with facilitation, training and demos
• Experience in working with cross functional teams
