Most requests for access to general MacEwan records or an individual's own personal recorded information, or correction of incorrect personal information, can be handled informally through direct communications with the university office responsible for the information.
Transcripts should be requested from the Office of the Registrar.
For more information, check the Request Transcripts web page.
Only in the event that access is not available through routine channels should you make a request formally under Alberta FOIP legislation. To do this please utilize the appropriate form provided on this site under Forms.
Additional FOIP Related Information for Students
Please see the front section of the MacEwan Academic Calendar for detailed additional information on the Alberta FOIP Act, access to information and protection of privacy, and use and disclosure of your personal information by MacEwan.
Additional forms that may be required by individuals other than MacEwan employees may be found on the Forms page.
All formal requests must be sent to the MacEwan Information and Privacy Office (IPO). The normal 30-day timeline for responding will not begin until your request--along with any and all applicable documents--are received in the MacEwan IPO.
