Individual drivers and commuters contribute to 12% of Canada’s green house gas emissions

Telecommuting lessens environmental impacts of vehicle emissions and reduces demands on infrastructure by reducing the number of single occupant vehicles travelling to work. That's why a campus task force was established in 2008, led by the Human Resources Department, to investigate a telecommuting pilot project.
