MacEwan Residence is an ideal place for students to live. Located on the MacEwan University City Centre Campus, it makes going to school that much easier.
There will be times when you might have to pull an all-nighter to get that assignment done, and that's fine. When you live on campus, you're closer to the resources that you need, when you need them. Whether you want to study in the library, work out at the gym, or any number of other activities, you can do them and save time.
Another great thing about living in residence is the proximity to the classes. Students are busy people, and it really helps to be able to walk the length of the campus in 10 minutes. That means that you save time and can get on with your life to live.

Safety is something that we take seriously here at MacEwan Residence. Each suite also has a deadbolt on the suite door and a lock on the bedroom doors.
MacEwan Residence has a front desk that is staffed 24 hours a day and student staff on each floor that are trained to respond to a number of different scenarios and are able to respond to a variety of concerns. The staff also does a set of nightly rounds to make sure that things are safe.
Campus Security is also a great resource with a committed staff. They can be reached 24/7 by calling 780-497-5554 for non-emergency situations, or 780-497-5555 in emergency situations.

Part of living in a community is supporting one another. We have a number of full time and student staff that are dedicated to helping out residents get the most out of their experience. Our student staff are great resources on the floors and help students get involved and can help them find the help they need when they need it.
MacEwan students are also just a couple of minutes away from Student Life, where they can access a number of helpful resources including counselling services, advising, financial aid and career services.
Living in residence is a great opportunity to get involved both in the residence community and in the university. We employ 26 student staff to help run regular building and floor events that will appeal to a broad range of interests. You can always approach one of the staff to help plan events and get other residents involved. You can also get involved with the Students' Association in any number of their great programs.
In addition, you can actually get paid to live here and build community. Each year we recruit a number of amazing people who want to get involved and take up a leadership role. Residence Assistants are an integral part in helping the community thrive and helping people get out and get to know one another. Community doesn't come from sitting around in your room, it comes from getting out there and getting to know one another.
