Piano Literature
For pianists with repertoire at the grade 8 level or higher, who would like to learn more about the pieces they perform and teach.
This course will provide an overview of piano literature from Baroque to the contemporary period, beginning with the works of Handel and Bach, and ending with those of Ligeti. It will discuss important historical and stylistic trends, and will analyze representative works in each composer's creation. Recordings and scores will be provided by the instructor at no additional cost.
