Private Instruction
Private or individual instruction is the core of Alberta College Conservatory of Music programming. Year-round instruction is offered on all instruments, at all levels, for all ages, either at our Alberta College Campus or MacEwan University South Campus. Our distinguished teachers have the credentials and ability to provide quality recreational or examination oriented instruction.
Courses
At the Conservatory of Music we offer a wide range of courses and workshops, from our Jump Start band clinics to our week-long summer workshops for youth.
Ensembles
In addition to private instruction and courses, we offer numerous ensemble and performance opportunities. Part of developing as a whole musician, from basic techniques and theory to performance, is learning how to listen to and work with other musicians, both as a performer and audience member. Ensembles at the Conservatory of Music provide a perfect opportunity for students to grow, combining their experience while sharing in the joy of music-making. Instrumental ensembles meet for a minimum of one hour weekly and include various performance opportunities. Voice students, too, have a variety of options available to them including Collaborative Voice & Piano class, Opera Workshop and Vocal Diction Class.
