The John L. Haar Theatre is located in the Centre for the Arts, a campus of Grant MacEwan University. The theatre seats 363 including 3 removable wheelchair spots. The base rental fee includes one technician that will run lights, and access to 2 dressing rooms, mezzanine, lobby, box office, green room, house, and stage area. One additional room may be provided for rehearsal/meeting space. Box office or FOH staff are provided upon request only.
*The base rental includes pre-hung washes of general lighting from front, side, above and cyc. It also includes up to one MC microphone and sound playback that can be run by the client once approved by the Stage supervisor. All lighting and sound needs above this base set up require the use of additional technicians at the rate above. These needs can be reviewed at the time of your booking.
A dance floor is available at a rate of $350 per day for the first day. This fee includes installation and removal. Once the floor has been installed, it may be rented for additional days at a rate of $100 per day.
The theatre is wheelchair accessible. Parking is available on the street or in the parkade (north side of the building, accessed off the city lane) for a fee.
