Yoga Thrive: Yoga For Cancer Survivors » 7 Sessions
Yoga Thrive is an evidence-based therapeutic yoga program for cancer survivors (during or after treatment) and their support persons. This gentle seven-week program is based on the principles of Hatha Yoga, but modified for cancer survivor —especially those experiencing stiffness, pain, stress or fatigue. It is
progressive in its approach, slowly and steadily building intensity.
Since 1999, Yoga Thrive has been rebuilding the lives of cancer patients and survivors. Created by Kinesiologists, "it is designed specifically for cancer survivors and has been scientifically proven to improve a cancer survivor’s quality of life,” reports the principal researcher, Dr. Culos-Reed, of the University of Calgary. Participants feel better, stronger, more relaxed and more in control of their health, after seven weeks.
No yoga experience is necessary.
Watch for the next Yoga Thrive session in the Fall.
