Fall Road Trip

Fall Road Trip- Whitewater Rafting & CavingExperience a two-day adventure trip in the Canadian Rockies! On day one, you’ll wind, splash and paddle your way down the exciting Kananaskis River, while day two will be spent crawling, exploring and rappelling in one of Canmore’s most famous cave systems. No experience is required. Full trip details are online at MacEwan.ca/Recreation under Special Events. This trip is only open to 40 current MacEwan University students who have paid their Sport and Wellness Fee (enrolled in 6 or more credits/term). Students must be 18+ to register. Registration is in-person only and opens at 7 a.m. on Mon, Sep 18. Arrive early as spots fill up very quickly.

Mission Inflatable

Mission InflatableYou find yourself in a gymnasium full of giant inflatable challenges with only one way out. Your mission, should you choose to accept
it: crack the codes to four padlocks, retrieve all of your clues, and break out! Teams of two will have 20 minutes to work together
using both physical ability and mental logic to solve a series of puzzles. Fastest overall team wins a ski trip! Challenge those around you to see who can be the MacEwan University Recreation Champion! Do you have what it takes?

Family DayIt’s a bouncy day at MacEwan University! Families can bounce their way through a series of inflatable obstacle courses. Spend time
together and make this event a family tradition. All ages are welcome. Adult supervision required.

MacEwan vs NAIT Challenge

Join your fellow students, staff, and faculty as we take on year 2 of our MacEwan vs. NAIT Challenges. These challenges are Free for everyone to participate in. Individual prizes are available for top performers and also drawn at random!

Bike Challenge

Spinning is a great form of low-impact physical activity, is perfect for all ages, and is excellent for building strength and stamina. Track your spin time from October 23-29 at the MacEwan University Sport and Wellness fitness centre desk and in the Spin Studio! All spinning time counts towards this Bike Challenge; the school with the longest cumulative participant spin time wins! Prizes will be awarded to the MacEwan individuals with the longest weekly cumulative spin times.

Jersey Day

Show your love and support for sport - wear your favourite jersey on Friday November 17! The school with more people wearing jerseys and posting photos wins! In addition, the school that raises more money for KidSport also wins!

How to enter: Join us at 12 p.m. in the MUSW Gym to take a large MacEwan University group photo AND/OR Post a photo of you and your friends/coworkers wearing a Jersey using #MacEwanRec. 

Donations to KidSport can be made online or collected at the Welcome Desk. Donations over $20+ are eligible for a tax receipt.

Paint Night

Paint NightWith the perfect combination of creativity and conversation, guests spend two hours creating a one-of-a-kind painting while
spending time with friends. You don’t have to be artist to get creative; no experience is required.
