A Polar BodyAge Health and Fitness Assessment is the best way to set a starting point, assess your strengths and identify your training needs. The assessment provides you with a BodyAge score indicating whether you are above or below your current biological age. For example, if someone is 35 but their BodyAge is 45, there are steps that can be taken to work to improve their BodyAge and overall health and fitness. You will receive a comprehensive BodyAge profile highlighting your strengths and areas for improvement.

Polar BodyAge Assessment & Personal Training
First, go through a full BodyAge assessment and receive a BodyAge profile that highlights your strengths and areas for improvement. Follow up with a one-on-one session with a personal trainer who will design a personalized training program to help meet your health and fitness goals.

To encourage participants to make healthier lifestyle choices in physical activity, exercise and nutrition to the extent that all participants adopt positive lifestyle changes to lower their incidence of disease across the lifespan.
Program Mission
For Police Studies, the program will identify all participants’ current fitness levels and assist them in reaching the physical skills necessary to meet police entrance testing requirements.
Curriculum
The fitness unit is worth 25% of a student's final mark in for field placement (PSSC 273). This component is comprised of fitness assessments, exercise prescription, group training, and nutrition guidance, along with dedicated workouts for active daily living. PARE testing (Physical Abilities Requirement Evaluation) will be completed and certification of achievement will be provided accordingly.
Sport and Wellness is excited to be collaborating with the Faculty of Health and Community Studies in delivering the Police and Investigations Police Studies Program here at Grant MacEwan University. Sport and Wellness plays a vital role in delivering the fitness and wellness components of these respective programs.

This wellness unit is worth 15% of the course grade for (still waiting on course code from David). It consists of Polar BodyAge assessments, team/partner fitness activities, nutrition guidance and exercise prescription, along with dedicated workouts to effect improved results in re-assessments.

VO2Max Test
Our state-of-the-art metabolic testing system will measure your cardio respiratory fitness—maximal heart rate, anaerobic threshold and heart-rate training zones—vital data for athletes of all levels. Participants must get medical clearance from their doctor prior to test.
