Have a personal trainer create a custom-made program that will help you get on the path to better health and fitness. These two sessions will include an information gathering consultation and a fitness program covering cardiovascular, resistance, flexibility and core stability exercises.

TRX Suspension System
MacEwan Sport and Wellness now has the TRX® Suspension Training system to use during personal training sessions.
Using the TRX® suspension training allows you to develop your strength, balance, core stability and flexibility in one workout. The TRX® is a portable tool, which means a patron and their personal trainer can go almost anywhere to do their workout; inside the gym, or outside.

Performance Triathlon Training
Whether you're new to the sport or a veteran of the swim-bike-run lifestyle, MacEwan's Triathlon Training will get you where you want to go. You will increase your base strength, improve your fitness and refine your technique through a periodized and progressive training program led by head coach Terra Giggey (CSEP & NCCP certified).
Energize your body and spirit with group resistance training workouts, rides, runs and swims and journey through your training alongside others who can offer their support and encouragement.
This program is geared towards triathletes and endurance athletes (i.e. runners, cyclists, swimmers) who are looking for a well-rounded training regimen.
Participants must be able to swim comfortably and be able to bike/run a minimum of 30 minutes.
Training is monthly with a registration deadline of three days prior to the start of the month (set up of automatic monthly payment withdrawal is possible on
the annual purchase option only).

- A Running Route booklet.

POOL CLOSURE NOTICE:
In May 2012, work will begin on the aquatics facility in the Christenson Family Centre for Sport and Wellness to bring the pool up to current mechanical, air-handling and lighting standards. As a result, the pool and hot tub will be temporarily closed until January 2013. We are seeking an alternate swimming location for the Triathlon group and will keep all participants informed regarding the new location.
