MacEwan International advisors and staff can answer your questions and help you adjust to university life in a new country. We offer encouragement, provide cultural and academic support and direct you to resources that will help you along your educational path.

International student advising

Our student advisors can help you register/enrol in classes, get involved in clubs and activities, understand campus policies and processes and adapt to a Canadian university experience. You can meet with an international student advisor at MacEwan International at City Centre Campus or at the Information Centre at Alberta College Campus.

Currently, international student advisors cannot answer immigration-related questions, as outlined in section 91 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. However, you can bring your questions to our monthly immigration information sessions, which are hosted by a regulated professional.

Additional support

MacEwan International refers students to academic, social and personal support programs offered by the Student Affairs office and the Students’ Association of MacEwan University (SAMU).

Academic Integrity

The Academic Integrity Coordinator answers questions and gives advice about all aspects of academic integrity—and at any stage of the process. If you need help interpreting policy, aren’t sure what to expect when meeting with an instructor or simply want to learn more about academic integrity, the Coordinator can point you in the right direction. As well, the Coordinator provides leadership for prevention and education activities.
