CFAC Hosting 2012 Greater Edmonton Teacher's Convention
MacEwan University's Centre for the Arts and Communications campus is proud to host sessions for the 2012 Greater Edmonton Teacher's Convention (GETCA) on March 1. A multitude of MacEwan University faculty members custom-created these sessions for High School Art, Drama, Music, Visual Communications and Photography teachers in addition to English instructors.
MacEwan University faculty members are volunteering their time to offer sessions that mesh with our curriculum. A sample of the unique sessions being offered at this year's GETCA convention include:
- Teaching Creativity to High School Art Students
- Theatre Vocal Warm-Up Techniques and Monologuing Song
- Innovative and Creative Drawing Ideas
- High School Rhythm
- Teaching Typography
- Principles and Elements in Digital Photography
- Screenwriting Basics
The Greater Edmonton Teacher's Convention exists to provide teachers from the Fort MacMurray, Edmonton Public and Edmonton Catholic School Boards an annual forum to renew their professional skills. For more information about GETCA, visit www.getca.com
