Pool retrofit and fitness centre expansion
Beginning May 1, the university will temporarily close the aquatics facility in the Christenson Family Centre for Sport and Wellness in order to retrofit the pool.
To keep you informed about the progress of the project, a series of videos will be produced to give you a behind-the-scenes look at the work – most of which won’t be visible to passersby because it will take place under the pool. The aquatics facility is scheduled to reopen in January 2013.
Along with the pool retrofit, the fitness centre will be undergoing an expansion that begins mid-April. The fitness centre will remain open during construction, and the space will be completed for the start of the fall 2012 term.
