Start by looking at the many ways to volunteer offered by the Students' Association.

At events

Support your school by volunteering at any of the many special events that happen every year: Open Houses, career fairs and fundraisers to name a few.

Or with student organizations

Look into joining the MacEwan Ambassadors, a leadership program that provides students the chance to serve the MacEwan and the Edmonton community through volunteer service – and get credit for it!

Vote - or serve

As a student, your interests are upheld by the Students' Association of MacEwan (SA). The SA is headed up by a Students' Council and Executive. These elected student leaders direct, promote and administer the affairs of the university’s student body, and advocate on their behalf. Involvement in the SA is your chance to make a difference.

Fitness

Be active: a fit body = a fit mind. Fight that freshman fifteen at the Christenson Family Sport and Wellness Centre, on our City Centre Campus. The centre boasts a gymnasium with basketball, volleyball and badminton courts, an aquatic centre, fitness area, squash and racquetball courts. There are also fitness centre at our South Campus and Centre for the Arts and Communications. Access fees are included in your student fees.

Recreation

The MacEwan Recreation program offers an intramural program and recreational activities for people who want get in the game.

Be social

Clubs, activities and events

Meet people who share your interests through student clubs, student publications, and special interest activities like the annual Walk for Darfur). Or let your and frequent social events.

Griffins Athletics

Some of the best sports entertainment in town comes courtesy of the MacEwan Griffins sports teams. The championship Griffin mens' and womens' teams compete in hockey, basketball, cross-country running, curling, golf, soccer and volleyball. Come out and show your spirit!
