- When applying using ApplyAlberta you are authorizing MacEwan to obtain transcripts from Alberta Education and participating post-secondary institutions. You will not be charged for transcripts requested using ApplyAlberta.
- Photocopies or faxed copies of transcripts are not considered official.
Note: Transcripts and other documents become the property of Grant MacEwan University and will not be returned to you. If your file is inactive for six years, you may be asked to submit a new set of documents with your application.
If your transcripts are coming from a publicly funded high school or post-secondary institution within Alberta, they will automatically be sent to MacEwan.
- All applicants who have attended high school in a Canadian province other than Alberta, must provide one (1) official transcript from the Board of Education in the province that the high school education was completed.
- Photocopies or faxed copies of transcripts are not considered official.
- All applicants who have attended secondary school outside of Canada must provide official/original secondary school marks sheets of courses and grades for each year attended. Also include certified English translations which must be complete, literal, word-for-word and in the same format as the original document(s). .If graduation examinations have been completed and certificates issued we will require submission of all graduation certificates as well.

All applicants who have attended post-secondary/high education institutions must provide official/original University and college marks sheets of courses and grades for each year attended, along with degree certificates are also required for any credentials achieved. Also include certified English translations which must be complete, literal, word-for-word and in the same format as the original document(s).
