Transcripts
- When applying using ApplyAlberta you are authorizing MacEwan to obtain transcripts from Alberta Education and participating post-secondary institutions. You will not be charged for transcripts requested using ApplyAlberta.
- All applicants who have attended post-secondary institutions must provide official transcripts from the Registrar’s Office of each institution attended.
- Photocopies or faxed copies of transcripts are not considered official.
Please Note: Transcripts and other documents become the property of Grant MacEwan University and will not be returned to you. If your file is inactive for six years, you may be asked to submit a new set of documents with your application.

Skills Appraisal
Applicants seeking admission to one of MacEwan's credit programs may be required to write the specified university admissions tests except as exemptions are specified by program admissions criteria. For details regarding the tests and exemption criteria, refer to the Skills Appraisal section of the site or the university Calendar.
Educational School documents
- All your secondary school educational school documents and any final examination certificates with courses and grades in both the original language and certified English translations, which must be complete, literal, word-for-word, and in the same format as the original document. These allow us to determine if you have met the academic requirements for your program of choice. For some programs, you may also need to do extra things such as provide reference letters, fill in a questionnaire, audition etc. Your acknowledgement package will describe these requirements in detail.

Specific Program Requirements
Your acknowledgment package will indicate other information needed for consideration, depending upon the admission requirements of the specific program to which you have applied. Examples are resumes, references, letters of intent, portfolios, and auditions. Complete and submit these items as soon as possible.
