An official transcript of your academic record is maintained by the Office of the Registrar.
Transcripts are considered confidential information and will not be released without your written permission.
Requesting an official transcript:
Fill out and submit a Transcript Request Form or a letter of request via:
- Fax: 780-497-5001 or
- In person: at any campus Information Centre or at the Office of the Registrar on City Centre Campus during regular business hours.
Letter of request
Ensure your letter includes:
- student’s full legal name and (if applicable) your previous last name(s)
- address
- phone number
- Grant MacEwan University student identification number (if known)
- date of birth
- number of transcripts requested
- location(s) of where to send transcript(s) to
- student’s written signature
If you attended Alberta College prior to July 1, 2002, please indicate this on the Transcript Request form to ensure that your student record accurately reflects your MacEwan transcript.
Transcript pickup
Transcripts are available for pickup at the location you request. Photo ID is required. Transcripts for pickup will only be held for 90 days. If someone other than the student is picking up the transcripts, written authorization from the student is also required.
Transcripts sent to third parties
If you want transcripts to be sent to someone other than yourself or to a post secondary institution, be sure to specify the name and address (including postal code). The Office of the Registrar requires the student’s written authorization to have transcripts sent to institutions, employers or other agencies.
