Engineering is the application of science and math to modern life. The cars we drive, the bridges we cross, the fabric we wear, the microwaves we use, the toys we play with and the medical equipment we depend on are all examples of creative engineering development and design.
The first year of a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree can be taken at MacEwan. Students who have successfully completed their first year* are guaranteed entrance to their second year of studies at the University of Alberta.
*Students must complete a minimum of 30 credits with a GPA of 2.5; ENGG 100/ENGG101 may not be included in the 30 credits. Students with GPAs below 2.5 will be offered admission on a space available basis and admission will be competitive.
