Directed Field Study

The practical component in the Bachelor of Applied Business Administration - Accounting involves the Directed Field Study (DFS) 1 to 8. While working full-time, students conduct intensive and detailed academic research on four topic areas approved by their facilitator. These DFS sessions integrate academic knowledge with practical workplace experience. 

Successful completion of these DFS sessions includes:

  • Completing the academic research requirements, as outlined by the facilitator
  • Submitting a series of papers on each of your chosen topics
  • Developing and presenting these papers to students, employers, faculty and other interested members of the community
