MacEwan’s Management Studies Aviation Management major – a unique partnership between MacEwan and Transport Canada-approved training centres – allows those whose heads are literally in the clouds to turn their love of aviation into a career.
Aviation Management provides a mix of skills that prepares you for the business of flight. Five courses (15 credits) from the Management Studies diploma are replaced with aviation training leaving you with instruction in many core business skills including accounting, marketing and strategic management.
2012 - 2013
In Term III, students with a Private Pilot and Commercial Pilot License and Instrument Rating receive 6 credits toward a diploma in this major.
In Term IV, students with a Commercial Pilot License, Multi-Engine Rating, or Instructor Rating receive 9 credits toward a diploma in this major.
2012 - 2013
Aviation major graduates may pursue a career as a pilot by earning their Private or Commercial Pilots License. Some choose a career in airport management with either airports or specific airlines.
