Are you fascinated with the arts and entertainment industry, but prefer to work behind the scenes? Do you like to create sets and props? Can you imagine yourself organizing and rehearsing complex set changes?

WE HAVE A [ PROGRAM ] FOR THAT.

Learn

In the first year of the two-year Theatre Production program you will learn about all aspects of theatre production. In the second year you can specialize in the area of your choice. Learn about:

  • Props and set construction
  • Lighting and sound effects
  • Costumes
  • Stage management
  • Collaboration with actors and directors

Practice

At MacEwan University you learn by doing. You will get hands-on experience working on live theatre and musical productions. In our top-notch facilities at the Centre for the Arts and Communications campus in west Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, you will:

• Work with wood, metal, fibreglass, clay, and other materials
• Build and paint props and sets
• Operate lighting and sound equipment
• Work directly with industry professionals
