Explore your creativity. Nurture your talent. Imagine your future. In MacEwan University's Fine Art program, you gain the skills and knowledge you need to make your mark in the world of art.

In our rigorous two-year diploma program, you experiment with various art forms and grow as an artist—not only in the ways you create, but also in the ways you think about and discuss your work. Guided by instructor-artists with a diverse range of talents, you try your hand at drawing, painting, sculpture, installation and digital art.

We value a hands-on approach to learning that includes project-based course work, off-site visits to galleries and exhibits, the insights and experiences of visiting speakers and a combination of studio and classroom time. In this dynamic environment, you are challenged to think critically and creatively about your talent.

Artful home

MacEwan University’s Allard Hall opens its doors in fall 2017, a new home for our fine art, theatre, music and design students. What better place to prepare for a career in the visual or performing arts than right next door to Edmonton’s thriving arts and culture scene.
