Intrepid Women of World War I

When we usually think of the First World War, we think of the trenches and frontline soldiers. But women were also deeply affected by the conflict. Many participated in the war in a direct way as spies, journalists, nurses, ambulance drivers, and even soldiers. Come to this workshop and hear the stories of these women's lives and get some tips on how to trace your ancestor's participation in the "Great War!"

History of the Knights Templar

Officially endorsed by the Catholic Church in 1129 they grew rapidly. Templar’s existence was tied closely to the Crusades; and when the Holy Land was lost, support faded. In 307 many of the Order were arrested tortured and burned at the stake.

Crown Princesses of Europe

Since 1999 many commoners have wed Crown Princes and managed admirably within the strict confines of the various royal courts. We will discuss the earlier lives of these women, how they met their Princes and how they have managed since their weddings. We will also discuss the husband of one of the Crown Princesses.
