Presentations by popular speakers feature timely and interesting topics - everything from Armchair travel to Ecuador to the House of Windsor. The series is presented in a variety of ways including lectures, slides, videos, and stimulating discussion during the break.

Titanic

RMS Titanic sank 100 years ago on April 15th 1912. Wayne MacDonald, nationally recognized expert on Titanic, will deliver a presentation on the building, launch, maiden voyage and sinking of this tragic ship. Wayne’s story is delivered in character as Titanic’s captain and the events leading up to the tragic sinking are shared from the perspective of the Dean family who were third class passengers. You will learn about the faulty decisions that were made that resulted in this marine tragedy, meet Titanic’s passengers and crew and come away feeling that you have been aboard Titanic.
