Department of Nursing Science

Faculty members in the Department of Nursing Science are experts in nursing leadership, education and research. They are committed to excellence in professional practice and passionate about nurturing graduates who will contribute to the health and well-being of individuals and families in our community.

Four philosophical perspectives provide a foundation for the department and the curriculum we develop. Critical social theory, humanism, logical positivism, and phenomenology support social and political action and an orientation towards growth, learning and individual accountability. The department encourages a spirit of trust, respect, and compassion in our graduates.
