Recruit to suit

We offer a variety of on-campus events to complement your organization's recruitment strategy and schedule. With an average annual enrolment of more than 18,000 students, MacEwan University is a major contributor to part-time and full-time labour markets in Edmonton and across the province. 

Networking and information sessions

Host a networking mixer. Meet students where they feel comfortable and confident. When you book a networking or information session at our conveniently located campus in downtown Edmonton, all you have to do is arrive on time. We book the room, provide technical assistance, arrange for catering and promote the event through social media, student clubs and MacEwanWorks, our career portal.

Book at least two weeks in advance to allow for arrangement and promotion of your session.

Rates:
$200 + GST/session
$100 + GST/session for registered charities

On-campus interviews

Interview schedules can be tricky to organize, especially if several MacEwan students make your “long list” or if you are an out-of-town employer wanting to conduct interviews as efficiently as possible. We can lend a hand by arranging interviews with our students right on campus. On-campus interviews are easier for students to fit into their schedules and require less planning for you.

Several types of interview rooms are available. Please book at least five business days in advance so we can make arrangements.

$75 + GST/room
$35 + GST/room for registered charities

Booths and displays

Use your recruitment budget when it suits you best. You don’t have to wait for a career fair or recruitment event to let students know about your organization or business. Schedule a time to visit campus. While here, you can increase brand awareness and promote employment opportunities.

Your display table booking includes:

  • A 2' x 5' table and two chairs, set up in a high-traffic area

  • Access to power and wifi

  • Social media publicity

Guest speaker and mentorship opportunities

Tell your career story. Share tales humorous or harrowing about resumés gone awry or interview gaffes. Market your organization by mentoring students and sharing your expertise.

We welcome the opportunity to partner with organizations or individuals who are interested in supporting our students through resumé reviews, mock interviews and advice about the transition from university to workplace.

Annual recruitment fairs

Register for our annual career and volunteer fairs to build rapport with students, find committed volunteers, engage seasonal or permanent employees and network with top talent—all while raising awareness of your business or organization.

MacEwan students know the value of volunteering. They want to contribute in meaningful ways in their communities and explore career options in the non-profit and charitable sectors. 

Registration includes:

  • Two chairs and a 2' x 5' table, with linen and a backdrop

  • Complimentary lunch or refreshment

  • Complimentary parking for one vehicle, including a one-time exit/enter pass

  • A link to your organization's website on the event page 

  • An opportunity to advertise in promotional materials

  • Power supply, for an additional fee 

Volunteer fair registration and details

As an exhibitor at the career fair, you will meet hundreds of students, soon-to-be graduates and alumni from over 60 programs. Find the student whose career goals align with your needs.
