If you are an enrolled student and wish to make a personal, career or educational counselling appointment with a professional counsellor at your campus:
We invite all MacEwan students who are interested in Wellness and Psychological Services to attend an Initial Consultation (IC). An IC is a free and confidential 20-30 minute conversation where you will meet with a counsellor to explore your reasons for seeking help. From there you and the counsellor can discuss the best course of action for you - e.g. determine whether Wellness and Psychological Services is a good match for your needs, provide you with helpful resources specific to your concern, follow up appointments when appropriate, information about treatment and therapy options if the service doesn’t meet your needs or appointment times are fully booked.
To meet with a counsellor, please go to the Student Affairs office at City Centre Campus (Room 7-103A). Initial Consultation times are slotted throughout the day and are on a first-come, first-served basis.
Please call 780-497-5064 if you require additional information.
