MacEwan Residence welcomes applications from students who will be not be attending MacEwan University.

Guaranteed Housing is now OPEN.
New Non-MacEwan Applicants
MacEwan Residence prioritizes applications from students attending MacEwan University until the last week of July. As such, Residence Services does not anticipate being able to offer spaces to new Non-MacEwan applicants until the first week of August. Offers made by Residence Services are subject to availability and will be made in the order applications were received. All Non-MacEwan applicants are required to submit documentation (upon offer) confirming acceptance to an accredited post secondary institution.
Please be advised that MacEwan Residence does offer three different types of suites for you to choose from (bachelor, 2-bedroom, 4-bedroom). However, given the high demand for bachelor and 4-bedroom suites, priority is given to returning residents for these units. While it is not impossible for new residents to get assigned a bachelor or 4 bedroom unit, it is unlikely as there are few of these suites available and they are in high demand. Any suites remaining after returning residents have been assigned, will be allocated to new residents based on the date of their application and any special accommodations requested. We encourage you to apply as early as possible to increase your chances of getting a bachelor or 4-bedroom unit.

Completed Residence Applications may be submitted to the International Office as follows:
1. Scanned and sent via email to InternationalArrivals@macewan.ca as a PDF document.
2. Faxed to 780.497.4508
CAUTION: Applications will only be accepted for periods that are open. As such, applicants need to ensure they are applying for the correct time frame. Residence Services will not be able to transfer an application from one period to another; a new application, with application fee, will be required.
