Depending on the assessment of your disability-related educational needs, Services to Students with Disabilities (SSD) may recommend that you have accommodations in the classroom including, but not limited to, the following:
- Peer note taker to record notes on non-carbonized note-taking paper that makes two copies
- Permission to record lectures
- Use of a note taking device (e.g., laptop)
- Use of an assistive listening device to amplify volume of speaker's voice
- Sign language interpretation
- Communication Real-time translation services (CART) reporting
- Preferential seating
- Access to copies of power point slides in advance
- Access to alternate formats of handout materials
- Educational assistant to facilitate access to technology, visually presented materials or social coaching
