The Services to Students with Disabilities (SSD) assessment of disability-related accommodations and services may include a recommendation that a student be considered full-time while registered in a reduced course load.
Definition of a reduced course load:
- Student is considered full-time with a reduced course load (usually less than 9 credits, or 40-59 per cent of a full course load)
- Must be approved by SSD
Effects of reduced course load approval
If SSD confirms that you are to be considered full-time with a reduced course load, you may be eligible for the following:
- Students Finance funding as a full-time student
- Consideration for scholarships and awards that include full-time status as an eligibility criterion
- Access to benefits offered to full-time students such as UPass and Student Health and Dental coverage
