Students' Council is the highest governing body of the Students' Association. Consisting of the four student executives and 12 student representatives, the Students' Council is responsible for guiding the Students' Association by setting its goals and measuring its success.
Students' Council members are elected from all four campuses: City Centre Campus (CCC), MacEwan South Campus (MSC), Centre for the Arts and Communications (CFAC) and Alberta College Campus (ACC). The Students' Council meets bi-weekly during the school year. Its full-time student members also participate in various committees and working groups throughout the year.
Students' Council members are elected each fall and serve a one-year term and can seek re-election in the following fall. Councillors are paid an honorarium per meeting.
To seek election, candidates must be in good standing with MacEwan University and the Students' Association, be a current MacEwan student, and must maintain a GPA of 2.0. Currently, there are still two councillor vacancies: 1 CFAC and 1 ACC Delegate vacancy.
