Are you interested in the inner workings of the University? Curious how student problems and issues are addressed? We are looking for critical thinkers with excellent communication skills to become an integral part of the planning and decision making process regarding student success.
There are 15 student positions open on various University committees ranging from the Academic Policies to the MacEwan International Council. If you are looking to gain valuable leadership and policy experience, while providing a student voice and perspective, then please fill out a nomination form today. Students' Association announces Student Gallery Space
The SA is proud to announce a new gallery space for student work within the Robbins Centre.
This space will display work from students at the Centre for Arts and Communications campus and provide an area for all students to enjoy throughout the year.
Work has already started on the Robbins Centre space, located in the west side of the ground floor, and the SA hopes it will act as a bridge from the Arts campus to the City Centre Campus.Any interested students are encouraged to contact the Students’ Association about availability with the Gallery. Watch for the official grand opening on May 15, 2012.
More announcements will be made about the gallery as work progresses.
Students' Association Councilors and Political Science Students attend Model UN Assembly in New York
26 Political Science Students from MacEwan University were selected to compete in a model UN in New York.
The conference allows the students to take their knowledge out of the classroom and discuss global issues in an international forum.

Pre-Optometry Club Recyling Eyeglasses
The Grant MacEwan Pre-Optometry Club has recently established an eyeglasses recycling program through the Lions Club. Just bring in your old eyeglasses (with or without a case) and insert them into the donation box.
Eye glass recycling boxes will be at the following locations:
- Near the Borrowers Desk in the Library
- The SAM Centre
- The Registrar's Office
- The Learning Resource Centre
- The Centre for Professional Nursing Education.
By donating your old eyeglasses, people in developing nations are given the ability to see. Providing the Lions Club with a pair of your old glasses can help improve someone's quality of life and provide them with an essential tool for learning, employment, or decreased dependence upon others.
