MacEwan's Child and Youth Care program prepares you to work in a professional environment, offering guidance, support, concern, and encouragement to troubled children, youth, and their families. Many young people experience neglect, abuse, emotional distress, and family breakdowns; helping children, youth, and families overcome their emotional and behavioural problems with mentorship, role-modeling and positive reinforcement is the role of the Child and Youth Care worker.

Now you can earn a Bachelor of Child and Youth Care degree, right here at MacEwan. Students entering the degree program can choose to complete the four-year degree or exit with a two-year diploma.

Offered on-site at MacEwan South Campus, this full-time or part-time degree allows students to balance work and study.
