Start Your Career in Criminal Justice

Graduates of the Correctional Services diploma program work in every corner of the criminal justice system. Working with adults and youth in a variety of community-based and institutional settings, corrections workers have a solid grounding in law, sociology, psychology and criminology. Students specialize in areas of interest including addictions, mental health, working with young offenders, or specific cultural populations.

Though many of our graduates have gone on to successful careers in provincial or federal prison systems, the education equips you for a vast array of professional roles. From group homes, to probation and parole, from counseling, to community mediation and restorative justice programs, the Correctional Services diploma puts you on track for a long and rewarding career.

Your MacEwan diploma gives you the skills to enter the field, and our seamless transfer agreement allows students to apply directly into the third year of a bachelor’s degree program, offered right on campus.
