Our Mission The mission of Minerva Senior Studies Institute is to provide learning opportunities for older adults (50 plus) by developing, sponsoring, promoting, offering and participating in educational events designed to enhance seniors' intellectual pursuits that enrich their lives.
Minerva Senior Studies undertakes to: - Promote lifelong learning
- Extend educational access to seniors
- Deliver a sound “senior friendly” volunteer program

Laurie Allen AwardsAt Minerva we are pleased to be able to offer the Laurie Allen Award for writing. This award is given to students in every writing class offered at Minerva who demonstrate outstanding talents. Our newest Laurie Allen Award winners are: For winter 2010 - John Betton for Blue Pencil Café, and Donalda Lloyd for Advanced Creative Writing. For spring 2010 - Anne Lightfoot for the Blue Pencil Café, and for Advanced Creative Writing, the winner is Beryl Robertson. Congratulations to all of you!
