Over the past 30 years, MacEwan’s Theatre Arts program has earned a reputation for its quality and depth – producing hundreds of actors who also sing and dance. Our faculty, students, and alumni continually play a vital role in one of Canada’s most vibrant theatre communities, acknowledged with a 2006 Elizabeth Sterling Haynes Award for Outstanding Contribution to Theatre in Edmonton.
To be a professional actor involves much struggle and frustration, but is a career with nearly limitless possibilities. At MacEwan, you’ll learn to be a versatile, self-sufficient artist and to gain confidence in your abilities. While it’s impossible to predict how successful you’ll be as a performer, you’ll leave our program with an honest view of yourself as an actor, as well as marketable skills for a difficult and demanding industry.
