Grant MacEwan University seeks a full time librarian at City Centre Campus from August 23, 2010 to April 22, 2011. The responsibilities of this position include providing reference services and information literacy instruction classes to students as well as collection development and liaison with academic programs. Applicants require a Master of Library and Information Science from an ALA accredited program. Experience in an academic library in the areas of collection development, reference and information literacy instruction is desirable. Candidates should have demonstrated instructional skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as a strong customer service orientation. Experience with government documents and legal information is highly desirable. The successful candidate should be flexible, adaptable and have the ability to work collegially in a team environment that includes a wide range of subject disciplines and technology services and support. Grant MacEwan University, located in Edmonton is a rapidly growing post-secondary institution with over 10,000 FTE students.
