MacEwan University has a long-standing history of providing quality nursing education that prepares graduates to meet the practice and disciplinary challenges in local, national and international nursing contexts.

The university’s Faculty of Nursing includes 5 unique departments that each house a variety of courses linked to the various programs offered in the Faculty. These programs include the Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing and various continuing education credentials and experiences.

The Department of Professional Nursing and Allied Health includes the Clinical Simulation Centre (CSC), 25,000 square feet of authentic clinical spaces that set the stage for students to practice skills and critical thinking in a realistic learning environment.

In addition to credit programming, the Faculty also offers, through the Department of Professional Nursing and Allied Health, a mosaic of innovative continuing education and continuing education opportunities, grounded in evidence-based practice and responsive to a dynamic health care environment. Additional health-related continuing education offerings are also available in MacEwan's School of Continuing Education.

Clinical Simulation Centre

In the CSC, theory comes to life with simulation technology that includes patient simulators (life-size robotic mannequins), virtual simulation and static task trainers. The highly specialized CSC team champions experiential and innovative learning, research, interdisciplinary collaborations and patient safety.
